Sanford, N.C.,- February 14, 2014- Central Electric Membership Corporation (CEMC) line crews worked tirelessly into the night to restore power to those hit head on by Winter Storm Pax. The number of current outages reflects their hard work. At this time, fewer than 10 people are without power in Chatham, Harnett, Moore, and Lee Counties. At one point numbers almost reached 4,500, with the hardest hit areas being in Harnett County.
Central received help from Lee Electric, with almost all power being restored around 1:35am. A list of outage reporting numbers for each of North Carolina’s 26 electric cooperatives can be found at www.ncelectriccooperatives.com/co-ops/coopList.htm.
