Sanford, N.C., November 7, 2012– In tradition with the holiday spirit, Central
Electric Membership Corporation is collecting non-perishable food items with
Christians United Outreach Center (CUOC) of Lee County to make the coming
holidays brighter for those who are less fortunate in our communities.
Central EMC has boxes inside our
Wilson Road location to gather the items. You may drop them off anytime between 8:00am and 4:45pm Monday through Friday.Things like stuffing mix, cranberry sauce,
sweet potatoes, dried beans, canned vegetables and potatoes are welcome. Also
the cooperative is going to donate two dollars per pound of food to CUOC, which
is a non-profit dedicated to helping people near Lee County.
The donation boxes are waiting for you. Don’t wait until December 21st to make a difference! You can also visit http://www.cuoclc.org/
for more details on the program.
