Crews restore all outages from Jonas

Early Sunday morning, Central Electric crews, along with neighboring cooperative and contract crews, finished restoring power to over 9,000 members who were without power due to winter storm Jonas. Between Friday afternoon and Sunday morning, crews worked continuous for 36 hours to restore power to all members.
Due to melting ice on tree tops, the potential for outages still remains. As ice melts, leaning tree tops rise back up and they can come in contact with power lines. Crews remain on call to respond to any outage situations that may still occur. Outages can be reported 24 hours a day by calling 1-877-766-6769 and they can be tracked by visiting Central Electric’s Outage Center.
