Central Electric Launches Local Video Contest

Sanford, N.C., November 19, 2013 – Students, are you a director or actor? Central Electric wants to see your skills in our new “2014 How to Save Energy Video Contest.”
Here’s how it works. Scholars between Kindergarten and twelfth grades in Chatham, Harnett, Moore and Lee counties must submit a video featuring a creative way to communicate the importance of saving energy! The winning individual or group will win either an ice cream social or pizza party for their classroom, courtesy of Central Electric. Video length should be no longer than one minute and the format can be presented as a newscast, music video, commercial, reality television show, or in skit format.
To enter all videos must be submitted as a .wmv file on a flash drive and then mailed to Central Electric’s Wilson Road location at 128 Wilson Road, Sanford, NC 27332. Each submission must include the applicant’s name, school, grade, contact information, email address and a signed video release form which can be found on our website www.cemcpower.com under the News tab in the Forms & Applications Section. Participants who do not follow instructions carefully will be disqualified. The deadline to enter is February 21, 2014 by 11:59pm.
